From the Archive: 13th August 2005

**Excerpts from my old diaries** I have recently met a new man. He is a friend of a friend and we were introduced via text message – oh the wonders of modern technology! We had been texting for a good week before we met up (a week ago) for Sunday lunch. I really like him .. as a person .. we have a lot in common .. football .. music .. TV .. Films etc. But when we met, I just didn’t get that .. zing .. the rush of electricity that means that ou really don’t think you can keep your hands to yourself .. it just didn’t happen. I made the decision that I wasn’t going to make snap decisions and that I would give him some time – after all he was really nervous. We moved onto a charity auction that a friend of mine had organised and he met a couple of my friends .. and things went well. He then had to go to a prior engagement and gave me a kiss goodbye. Again .. no bolt of electricity. Later that evening he called me and said that he and his mates were meeting up … I need to read more …

December? Already?

OK so November seems to have whizzed by .. I have been amazingly busy and haven’t blogged at all .. which is terrible really!  I thought I would do a catch-up post to fill you in on everything that has happened in the month .. it may end up being a long one, so please bear with me! New Lions Club – After Rotaract, I went into Rotary, and although it is an amazing organisations and does wonderful things that I have been very proud to be a part of, I found that I wasn’t getting involved with things as much as I had done previously and felt that a break was in order.  I went on a leave of absence and since then, have been getting involved in a new Lions Club that is being setup in my town.  The new club is aimed at young professionals which gives me the chance to meet some new friends.  It dawned on me recently that the only people I know in Fleet are the people I work with and a couple fo friends that already lived here long before I moved here.  In the couple of months since getting involved with Sirius … I need to read more …
